Tapestry Needle
(Color A) Lt. Brown yarn (Approx. 20 yards)
(Color B) Dk. Brown yarn (Approx. 2 yards)

(Color D) Purple yarn (or color of choice) (Approx. 2 yards)
Fiberfill Stuffing
Ears: (Color A) Ch3
Row1: Sk. first ch, sc in next 2ch; ch1 turn
Row2: sc2tog; ch1 turn
Sl. St. into remaining sc, end off.
Head: (Color A) Ch2
Rnd1: 3sc in first ch- 3sc
Rnd2-4: 1sc in each sc- 3sc
Rnd5: 2sc in each sc- 6sc
Rnd6: 2sc in each sc- 12sc
Rnd7-9: 1sc in each sc- 12sc
Rnd10: *sc2tog* repeat from * 5 times- 6sc
[Embroider on eyes (or use beads) (Color C), sew on ears, embroider on nostrils (Color C), and stuff with fiberfill.]

Sew starting edge of neck onto head, stuff, sew opposite end onto body.

Change to color A
Rnd3-5: 1sc in each sc
Sl. St. cut yarn long enough to sew onto body, end off, stuff, sew on.
Repeat for other 3 legs.
Saddle: (Color D) Ch2
Rnd1: 5sc in first ch- 5sc
Rnd2: 2sc in each sc- 10 sc
Rnd3: *1sc in next sc, 2sc in next sc* repeat from * around- 15sc
Ch7 (approx.), Sl. St. into opposite side of saddle, end off.
Harness (Color D): I made the harness by chaining around the nose in front and behind the ears, and around the back of the neck. It was a somewhat difficult process that I cannot explain. I’ve seen other people just use strands of yarn. Do whatever works for you.
Tail (Color B): Cut about 4 strips of yarn about 4” long, line up ends, knot them on like you would with latch hook. (Insert needle through a stitch, fold piece of yarn in half, pull through so that you have a little loop, and pull the two ends of yarn through it.)
Mane (Color B): Cut about 20 strips of yarn about 4” long, and knot them on through different stitches like you did with the tail.
Key chain (Color C): Chain about 20, sl st through the horse and through the first chain. attach keyring
